How message credits work
Updated 11 Oct 2026 · 2 min read
A credit is one WhatsApp or SMS update sent to a customer or to you. Orders themselves are free, and you are never charged a commission on the food.
What a credit is
Starter includes 1,000 credits a month, Growth 3,000 and Pro 7,000, shared across your outlets. A credit is spent only when Nasto sends a WhatsApp or SMS. Browsing the menu, placing the order and the orders board don't use credits.
Every message is sent by Nasto, names your restaurant inside and is signed "– Nasto".
Which messages use one
By default an order sends two messages to the customer:
- Accepted (or rejected, with your reason).
- Out for delivery, with the driver's number.
A third message, Delivered, is off by default. You can turn any message type on or off per outlet in Notification credits.
These are free and never use credits:
- Login codes for you, your staff, drivers and customers.
- App notifications to customers who installed your store on their phone.
- Test orders, which send no messages at all.
When you run low
At 20% of your monthly credits, the admin shows a banner and we WhatsApp you. At zero, customer messages pause. The store keeps taking orders, the board still rings, and customers still see live status on their order page.
Buying more
Recharge from Notification credits. 1,000 credits cost ₹300 on Starter, ₹275 on Growth and ₹250 on Pro, plus GST.
- Plan credits are used first and reset on your billing date. They don't roll over.
- Recharged credits are used after plan credits and roll over while your subscription is active.
At about two messages an order, 1,000 credits cover roughly 500 orders a month.
