Cash on delivery and the cash tally

Updated 11 Oct 2026 · 2 min read

Customers pay cash on delivery, or at the counter for pickup orders. Nasto never holds or touches the money for your food. It goes straight from your customer to you or your driver.

Recording the cash

When a driver marks an order delivered, the app asks how much cash they collected. The order total is filled in; they change it only if the customer paid a different amount.

The end-of-shift tally

  • In the driver app, the driver sees the cash they're carrying for the shift.
  • In the admin panel, Reports shows cash collected per driver, so you can check it against what they hand over.

Pickup orders are marked paid when you hand them over at the counter.

Online payments

Paying by UPI from the store is coming next: the customer's UPI app opens with your UPI ID and the amount, and you confirm receipt. Later, card and UPI payments through your own Razorpay, PhonePe or Paytm account, settled directly to you. In every case the money goes to your account, never through Nasto.

Tip: payment screenshots are easy to fake. Only mark an online payment as received once it shows in your own bank or UPI app.
